After years of sporting his signature bowl cut that some would say is more famous than his boyish good looks, teen superstar Justin Bieber unveiled a drastic new haircut over President’s Day Weekend, sending Beliebers worldwide into a frenzy.
TMZ released the photos Monday afternoon, explaining that the 16-year-old phenom received the cut on the set of his new music video with Rascall Flatts over the weekend.
“I just wanted a kind of a change, I didn’t want to cut it all off, but I had had it for 3 1/2 years, I had just gotten sick of it,” said Bieber. “It was in my eyes, I didn’t want it in my face, I just wanted to change it up.”
While tween girls the world over may be traumatized by the shocking change, some may find solace in the fact that he’s donating his brown locks to charity for auction – an item that will easily snag a couple thousand dollars.
