Jack Black kicked off the 2011 Kids' Choice Awards by making a grand entrance in the Kids’ Choice monster truck. He was escorted down the orange carpet by a dancing flash mob, getting the slime-fest started with a rockin’ rendition of The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling.”
The performances were absolutely rocking! Nickelodeon stars Big Time Rush were joined onstage by Snoop Dogg to perform their current single “Boyfriend,” off their newly-certified Gold debut album BTR. Willow Smith made an incredible entrance as she flew onto stage. The entire crowd rocked out to her hit songs “21st Century Girl” and “Whip My Hair.” The Black Eyed Peas performed a medley of hit songs “Just Can’t Get Enough” and “The Time” featuring Black, as the honorary Pea.
A total of 20 blimps were presented to fan voted categories. Some of the winners were Johnny Depp for Favorite Movie Actor, Miley Cyrus for Favorite Movie Actress, The Karate Kid for Favorite Movie and Despicable Me for Favorite Animated Movie, Favorite TV Show went to iCarly, Favorite Reality Show to American Idol, Favorite TV Actor to Dylan Sprouse, Favorite TV Actress to Selena Gomez and Funniest TV Sidekick to Jennette McCurdy. And it wouldn't be a complete with out slime! This year saw more slime than ever including the first-ever super cyclone monster truck jump into 7600 gallons of goo! Snoop Dogg was officially welcomed to the Nickelodeon family with a slime bath. Jim Carrey and host Black got into an epic slime battle royale. Heidi Klum got soaked and Jason Segel got the green stuff right in the face. The audience wasn't spared this year and got the green stuff dumped on them by a orange hot air balloon, piloted by Carrey.
Other highlights included Justin Timberlake being awarded Nickelodeon’s The Big Help Award for his ongoing charitable work as a philanthropist. Josh Duhamel was crowned King of the Arm Fart, beating out Kevin James and Kaley Cuoco.
