Could Jennifer Aniston follow in Gwyneth Paltrow’s footsteps and be the next big country star? Well, she’ll portray one at least!
According to USA Today, the A-list movie star will be in an upcoming fact-based film set in the 1940’s. Aniston will portray a member of The Goree Girls, a group of Texas singers she describes as “the Dixie Chicks of their time.”
The film will be based on actual events that took place in Goree Prison and centers around eight female inmates that form a country-western band. The real Goree Girls were embraced by the public and were later pardoned.
Aniston won’t just star in the country music flick, but will also co-produce the project. Big names like Kelly Rowland,Pam Tillis, and Ellen Pompeo have been rumored to be involved in the film as well!
