Miley Cyrus started acting on the show Hannah Montana, and therefore began her trip to fame, when she was just 11-years-old, but that doesn't mean she is supportive of every young star on their way to the top.
In fact, Cyrus was recently asked in an interview how she felt about Rebecca Black and from her response, it seems like she might be a little jealous!
"It should be harder to be an artists," Miley told the DailyTelegraph in Australia. "You shouldn't just be able to put a song on Youtube and go out on tour."
OUCH! Since Miley has gotten so much criticism throughout her career, although it may not be for the same reasons that Rebecca has, it would be nice to see her be supportive instead of so harsh! In fact, several other celebrities have offered their support to the newest Youtube sensation, including Lady Gaga, Simon Cowell, Chris Brown and even Miley's old boyfriend Nick Jonas, who performed Black's Friday in concert!
No matter how Miley does feel about the situation, 13-year-old Rebecca Black seems like she's heading down the road to success, no matter how surprising that may be. Forbes has already estimated that she will make hundreds of thousands of dollars on the song Friday and she is already working on her next song.
As for Miley, we know she has worked hard to get to where she is, but just because Rebecca Black got to where she is in a different way, doesn't mean she won't work hard, too! Besides, Miley has been supportive of Youtube stars before - didn't she sing with Justin Bieber in Never Say Never!?
The positive thing is - Miley is gearing up for her World Tour right now and it is sure to be a great show for all of her international fans! We can't wait to see the videos!
